Quota Club of Redcliffe Inc. is steeped in history and has played an important part in Redcliffe's community.
1950-1959
THE REDCLIFFE BRANCH WAS CHARTERED
The Club was chartered on 13 April, 1957 and has been working with the Redcliffe Community and beyond for over 60 years

FIRST SERVICE PROJECT
Mothers & Babies Rest Room, Redcliffe. The Foundation Stone of the building is now at Quota Place.
cLASSIFIED INTERNATION SERVICE
Quota International was a classified international service club for women, and as such, membership was by invitation and limited to women who was an Owner, Executive or Professional in her community work place.
FORMATION OF DISTRICT 24
Club members attended the District Conference in Southport, 1959 when District 30 was formed from District 24
1990 - 1999
Railway Place
Funded the installation of children’s play equipment at Scarborough Park.
Redcliffe botanical Gardens
Supported the development of the Sensory Garden. A sensory garden is a designed space that stimulates all five senses: sight, smell, touch, sound, and taste. It's a place to engage with nature in a more active and immersive way, often used for therapeutic purposes or educational opportunities.
First Settlement Wall, Redcliffe
Commemorates the first European settlement in Queensland, established in 1824. It was built with 50 tonnes of bluestone, designed to resemble the sails of the ship "Amity", which carried the settlers. The wall also honors the Ningy Ningy clan of the Undambi tribe, the traditional custodians of the land.

Inagurual International Women's Day Breakfast
It is a day to recognise and celebrate the achievements and contributions of women from all walks of life. From trailblazing leaders and activists to unsung heroes working tirelessly in their communities, women have played a pivotal role in shaping our world and driving positive change.
1960 - 1969
INTERNATIONAL PRESIDENT VISIT
In 1962, International President, Helen Agnew, visited Redcliffe following the Australian Combined Conference in Katoomba.
INAGURAL STUDENT OF THE YEAR
The award is designed to honour students who exhibit outstanding achievement and dedication to their education, while also demonstrating qualities such as leadership, community involvement, and integrity.
DISTRICT 30
Past President Joan Thompson was the first Redcliffe Quotarian elected District Governor in 1967 and served for 2 years, with Belle Roberts appointed District Secretary-Treasurer.
HONOUR BOARD PRESENTATION
At the Installation Dinner in 1969, the culmination of the Club’s first decade, an impressive timber Honour Board recording all club presidents was presented to President Yvonne Wright by the Women of the Year. The decade finished with 28 members.
2000-2009
Quota Bingo
Bingo switched to Dolphins and to Quota Bingo Raffle 2 sessions / week. Funds contributed to a number of donations to projects.

QuoCKa Reading initiative
QuoCKa—an acronym for Quota, Cops, and Kids—is a literacy program that brings together community volunteers, local police officers, and Year 2 or 3 students to foster a love of reading. Club members and police officers read with small groups of children, helping to build their confidence and enjoyment of books.

SHATTER SILENCE
In 1974, “Shatter Silence” was adopted as an international service project to serve the deaf and hard of hearing and continued to be supported by all Quota Clubs as a specific international program until the 1990’s.
INAUGURAL INTERNTIONAL CONVENTION
1975 saw the first International Convention held off the North American continent in Honolulu and Club President Beris Pritchard represented the Redcliffe Club as one of 30 District 30 members attending.
2010 - 2019
Ambassador of the Year for Year 11 students
The Award recognises students who consistently demonstrate excellence across key areas such as behaviour, learning, relationships, and citizenship. It honours those who make positive and lasting contributions to the school community
Inagurual Redcliffe Craft & Gift Fair
This popular event served as a key fundraiser for the Quota Club of Redcliffe. More than just a marketplace, the fair offered a vibrant community experience. Attendees could browse a wide range of unique, handcrafted items, participate in creative workshops, and enjoy live talks and demonstrations by local artisans.
Inagurual Chritmas Tree Festival
This festive event featured a stunning display of beautifully decorated Christmas trees, each one created by local businesses and schools, capturing the true spirit of community and celebration. The festival offered more than just a visual delight—it often included festive markets, high tea, carol singing, and opportunities for visitors to vote for their favourite tree.
Quota 60th Anniversary
The anniversary marked six decades of service, friendship, and community impact. The celebration honoured the club’s rich history and achievements with a commemorative booklet, a special dinner attended by past and present members, and a visual display highlighting the club’s journey over the years.

A visit from a president's representative, who gives an update on Quota International and inspires and motivates participants

Quota Bingo
Bingo commenced at Margate 1987 with an annual service income of $50,000.00 +
First International President
The induction took place in Melbourne, marking a proud moment for the club. Beris was the first International President from Queensland and only the third from Australia — a remarkable achievement that unfolded naturally through her commitment and service.
Quota Place
Located in Quota International Bicentennial Park, Clontarf, this space was gifted to the Redcliffe City Council at a cost of $32,000 to commemorate the Bicentenary.
2020- current
Sounndfield Sound System Project
These systems, which are low-powered public address units, include a microphone connected to a radio transmitter, an amplifier, and typically four loudspeakers positioned around the classroom. The club donated them to schools on the peninsula.
Inagurual Fashion Parade
Designed to support our major project, the parade also serves as a vibrant social occasion for the local community. The event features a runway showcase of stylish clothing—often modelled by our members and volunteers—alongside raffles, lucky door prizes, and complimentary refreshments.
Disolvement of Quota Interanational
The Quota International club in Redcliffe changed it's name, working as an independent community support club under the new name Quota Club of Redcliffe Inc. from 30 September 2020.
Chameleon Housing Project
The focus of the project was to support youth experiencing homelessness through the donation of new furniture and other resources.
The Forgotten Women Project
The organisation dedicated to helping older women at risk of homelessness. The club recognises the vital work being done and is committed to contributing to this important cause. It serves as a powerful reminder that vulnerability can affect anyone—and that community support is both essential and life-changing.
Inagurual Devonshire Tea Fund Raiser
The tea was a social event, where guests enjoy a traditional morning tea consisting of scones, jam, and cream, accompanied by tea and coffee. The event raised money to support the major project.
